In brief
Michał “Nisha” Jankowski has left Team Liquid and is taking a break from competitive Dota 2. Team Liquid announced the change on September 28, 2026, thanking the Polish mid laner for his time with the organization. The announcement described the move as a break and did not give a return date.
Nisha’s Team Liquid run ends after nearly four years
Nisha joined Team Liquid in December 2022. His spell with the organization included its victory at The International 2024, where Liquid defeated Gaimin Gladiators 3:0 in the Grand Final. Liquipedia’s TI 2024 roster lists Nisha as Team Liquid’s position 2 player for the tournament.
Team Liquid also won BLAST Slam VI in February 2026 with Nisha in the lineup. The team later won 1win Essence II in August, again with Nisha on the active roster.
The September 28 announcement closes Nisha’s current run with Liquid after almost four years. Team Liquid did not provide a reason for the break beyond the player stepping away from competitive play. The wording does not present the decision as a permanent retirement.
Team Liquid entered BLAST SLAM VIII with Yeik Nai “MidOne” Zheng in the mid position. BLAST’s official tournament roster lists Michael “miCKe” Vu, MidOne, Adrián “Wisper” Dobles, Samuel “Boxi” Svahn and Erik “tOfu” Engel, with William “Blitz” Lee as coach.
MidOne is being used as a stand-in for the tournament. Team Liquid’s September 28 announcement did not name a permanent replacement for Nisha.
Liquid’s next scheduled series is against GamerLegion in the lower-bracket final of Group D at BLAST SLAM VIII on October 2 at 16:00 UTC. The winner advances to the next stage of the tournament.
