Turbo

Turbo is a faster Dota 2 game mode based on All Pick, with accelerated economy and other rule changes designed to shorten matches.

What is Turbo in Dota 2?

Turbo keeps the core objective and much of the structure of a normal Dota 2 match, but changes multiple rules to make the game progress more quickly. Heroes gain resources faster, several timers are shortened, and other systems such as towers, drafting, shops, couriers, or objective pacing may use Turbo-specific rules.

Because these modifiers are part of the game mode rather than the heroes themselves, the same hero can reach items and levels much earlier in Turbo than in a standard match. The exact modifiers are patch-dependent and may be adjusted without changing the basic purpose of the mode.

How Turbo is used in a match

Players choose Turbo when they want a shorter match, want to try a hero or build in a real team setting, or simply prefer a faster pace. The mode still rewards normal Dota fundamentals such as map awareness, teamfighting, and objective control, but the windows for farming and reacting are compressed.

A mistake that would slow a normal game for several minutes may be recovered from much faster in Turbo because gold and experience arrive more quickly. The reverse is also true: a team that wins several fights can reach buildings and late-game items sooner, so advantages can escalate quickly.
