Dota 2 Patch 7.41f: Hero Nerfs, Buffs and Item Changes

Valve released Dota 2 patch 7.41f on September 15. The first gameplay update after The International 2026 targets many of the tournament’s popular heroes and increases the price of several core items.

The update does not rebuild the game, but it could noticeably change drafts and item timings in the first post-TI tournaments.

Invoker and Bounty Hunter received major nerfs

Invoker lost one of his strongest farming tools. The Aghanim’s Shard upgrade for Ghost Walk no longer damages non-hero units, removing the ability to clear waves while remaining invisible. Cold Snap’s cooldown was also increased from 18 to 19 seconds.

Bounty Hunter will generate less bonus gold through Track, while access to shared vision has been moved to a later talent.

Valve also weakened several other popular heroes:

  • Lina lost Intelligence, damage and Fiery Soul efficiency
  • Lifestealer received a longer Rage cooldown
  • Treant Protector was nerfed across multiple abilities
  • Shadow Fiend lost part of his Necromastery and Shadowraze scaling
  • Centaur Warrunner, Earth Spirit, Kez and Keeper of the Light also received reductions

Anti-Mage and Ursa are the main winners

Only a few heroes received meaningful buffs. Anti-Mage now converts 65% of burned mana into damage, up from 60%.

Ursa’s Maul became significantly stronger, with damage based on current health increasing from 1.25% to 1.75%. Mars gained one base armor, while Batrider, Chen, Disruptor and Warlock received smaller improvements.

Several core items became more expensive

Patch 7.41f also slows down common carry and utility timings:

  • Dragon Lance: 1,900 to 2,000 gold
  • Daedalus: 5,100 to 5,200 gold
  • Heart of Tarrasque: 5,200 to 5,300 gold
  • Octarine Core: 4,900 to 5,100 gold

Manta Style’s ranged illusions now deal less damage, Satanic provides less lifesteal, Shiva’s Guard deals less Arctic Blast damage, and Mjollnir’s Static Charge duration was reduced from 15 to 12 seconds.

Heaven’s Halberd was one of the few items to become cheaper, dropping from 3,400 to 3,300 gold.

Valve also fixed several gameplay bugs, including an inaccessible spot near the top Roshan pit and multiple unintended interactions involving Spirit Breaker, Bane, Elder Titan and Lone Druid.

Patch 7.41f appears designed to reduce the power of the established TI meta without forcing teams to relearn the entire game. Invoker’s farming pattern is gone, several dominant heroes are weaker, and expensive item timings should arrive slightly later.

A new patch makes old win rates less reliable. Track team adaptation, draft trends and updated match probabilities with **Winio**.
