HULIGANI Rebuild Roster for PARI Universe Closed Qualifier
5 min readWinio Team
HULIGANI entered the PARI Universe closed qualifier with an almost completely rebuilt Dota 2 roster. Four players were replaced before the event, with Ilya “ssnovv1” Kondrashov the only member retained from the previous lineup.
The timing leaves little room for adaptation. The closed qualifier runs from October 5 to 8, and only one of eight teams will earn a place at the PARI Universe main event.
HULIGANI change four players
The organization announced its new lineup on October 4, one day before the qualifier began.
The updated HULIGANI roster is:
ssnovv1
Difference
elmo^^
queezy
Rein
Vladimir “Difference” Klimontov and Amir “elmo” Uskumbayev joined for the second and third positions, while Alexander “queezy” Lipin and Vladislav “Rein” Kosygin complete the support duo. Rein brings the most recognizable top-level experience among the additions, having previously represented Virtus.pro and 1win. Difference has played for One Move, while queezy previously competed with AVULUS. For HULIGANI, this is less of a minor adjustment and more of a reset.
The first test did not go HULIGANI's way. Team Synapse beat them 2-0 in the upper-bracket quarterfinal on October 5, immediately sending the rebuilt roster into the lower bracket. That result turned the second match into an elimination series. On October 6, HULIGANI were paired with CyberHero in Lower Bracket Round 1, also played as a best-of-three. Both teams reached the series after 0-2 defeats in their opening matches: HULIGANI lost to Team Synapse, while CyberHero were swept by Yellow Submarine. For a lineup assembled only days earlier, there is no gradual introduction. Every defeat from this point can end the qualifier run.
PARI Universe qualifier has only one available slot
The closed qualifier uses a double-elimination bracket. All matches are Bo3 except the Grand Final, which will be played as a Bo5. Eight teams are competing:
HULIGANI
Team Synapse
Yellow Submarine
CyberHero
LEGION
Blasterbl
MOUZ
Nemiga Gaming
Only the winner advances to PARI Universe.
That makes the qualifier unusually unforgiving. There are no second qualification slots for teams that reach the final or make a deep lower-bracket run.
One team survives the bracket. The other seven miss PARI Universe.
What HULIGANI are trying to fix
The reshuffle follows a difficult stretch of results.
HULIGANI finished The International 2026 without winning a series, then failed to qualify for BLAST Slam VIII and BLAST Slam IX. Their EPL Masters II campaign also ended in 5th-6th place. That context explains why the organization opted for four changes rather than a smaller adjustment. The challenge is obvious, though. A team can change personnel overnight; coordination, lane understanding and late-game decision-making usually take longer to rebuild. PARI Universe gives HULIGANI an immediate benchmark.
What is next at PARI Universe
The qualifier runs through October 8. Its winner will join the PARI Universe main event, scheduled for October 22 to November 1. The tournament will feature ten teams and a $250,000 prize pool. PARIVISION, OG, Team Liquid, BetBoom Team, Team Spirit and 1win have already received direct invitations. For HULIGANI, the equation is simpler: the new roster has to survive the lower bracket first. The four-player rebuild may define the team's next phase, but PARI Universe is giving them almost no time to settle in.
