Aurora complete rebuild with kyxsan: the IGL now has a system built for him

Aurora have completed their international rebuild by signing Damjan “kyxsan” Stoilkovski as in-game leader. He joins XANTARES, woxic, Wicadia, and Jimpphat, with former GamerLegion coach ash overseeing the team. The new lineup will debut at BLAST Bounty 2026 Season 2 on July 21.
The move closes two separate roster stories at once. Aurora finally have the captain needed to connect their Turkish core with Jimpphat and ash. For kyxsan, it ends the period on Falcons’ bench after he was replaced by karrigan in April.
Falcons’ decision is difficult to criticize in hindsight. Since bringing in karrigan, they have won the IEM Cologne Major, rising to the top of the world ranking. The change clearly gave them the leadership profile they wanted.
That does not mean kyxsan suddenly became a poor IGL. He led Falcons from January 2025 to April 2026, won PGL Bucharest, and helped the team establish itself near the top level. After being benched, he said the decision felt unfair because the roster had been promised time and had already shown it could compete with the best.
Aurora now offer him a different type of task. Falcons were built around several established stars and enormous expectations. Aurora need someone to turn a mixed group into a coherent team: three Turkish players with an existing identity, a Finnish anchor in Jimpphat, and a British coach known for building systems around changing lineups.
The role balance is promising. XANTARES and Wicadia provide aggression, woxic remains the dedicated AWPer, and Jimpphat can stabilize difficult CT positions. kyxsan does not need to manufacture firepower. His job is to define the tempo, organize the mid-round structure, and ensure that the new international lineup does not split into separate pieces.
Winio read: kyxsan is the signing that makes Aurora’s rebuild possible to evaluate as a complete project. Jimpphat improved the role balance and ash gave the team a developmental direction, but the IGL determines how those ideas appear on the server. Early vetoes, T-side structure, and communication under pressure will be more informative than the roster’s combined name value.
Aurora are therefore making a sensible bet on a leader whose previous team no longer needed him, rather than on an IGL who failed completely. Falcons may have been right to choose karrigan, and Aurora may still be right to choose kyxsan. The transfer gives him a roster where his value will be judged less against a legendary replacement and more by whether he can make a new project function.
