Stage 1 of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 is coming to a close, setting the field for the next phase of the tournament. After four days of Swiss play, the opening stage has separated the teams that could handle pressure from those whose early results did not hold up.
B8 and BetBoom were the first teams to advance, both finishing with 3-0 records. M80, MIBR and GamerLegion followed at 3-1, while FlyQuest, TYLOO and BIG secured their places after going through the full five-round path.
