ESL has announced the first Intel Extreme Masters tournament for Counter-Strike 2 in 2027. Details about IEM Krakow 2027 appeared on the tournament organizer’s social media.
The event will take place from January 27 to February 7, 2027, in Krakow, Poland. The venue will be Tauron Arena, which can host between 11,500 and 22,000 spectators. Sixteen teams will compete for the championship title, with a total prize pool of $1.25 million.
Additionally, ESL has planned four Wildcard invites, which will be distributed based on the teams’ standings in the VRS rankings. According to the organizers, these invitations are intended for lineups that have undergone significant roster changes before the tournament.
