MOUZ survived a major scare against 3DMAX to reach the BLAST Bounty Season 2 Finals semifinals with a 2–1 victory.
3DMAX opened the series by winning their Dust2 pick 13–10. The French side then came close to completing the upset on Nuke, where they reached match point before MOUZ forced overtime.
The map eventually required three sets of extra rounds. MOUZ finally closed it 22–18, with torzsi producing several crucial multi-kills and xelex delivering the decisive plays late in the map.
After narrowly surviving Nuke, MOUZ looked far more comfortable on Inferno. They controlled the decider from the opening rounds and completed the comeback with a dominant 13–3 victory.
Winio Analysis
The final Inferno score makes the series look more convincing than it actually was. MOUZ were only a few rounds away from elimination and struggled to maintain control across both Dust2 and Nuke.
Their recovery still demonstrates the individual quality and composure expected from a top team. However, the match also highlights the risk of judging MOUZ solely by the final series result: they won comfortably only after 3DMAX had failed to convert their opportunity.
For future predictions, this performance supports MOUZ as a resilient match-winner but provides much less confidence in clean 2–0 victories or large map handicaps.
