Team Spirit defeated 100 Thieves 2–1 to secure the final place at the BLAST Bounty Season 2 Finals. The series remained competitive through two maps before donk produced the best map rating of his career and turned the Dust2 decider into a 13–0 rout.
Spirit initially needed a comeback on Anubis. After falling 6–10 behind, they stabilised on the CT side and won seven of the final eight rounds to close the map 13–11.
100 Thieves responded convincingly on Mirage. Their defence produced a 10–2 half before they completed a 13–4 victory, ending Spirit’s eight-map winning streak on the map and forcing the favourites into a decider.
Dust2 offered none of the same resistance. Donk opened the map with a 1v3 clutch and finished with 20 kills, seven deaths, 132 ADR and a career-high 2.84 rating. Spirit did not concede a single round.
The performance took donk to 59 kills and a 1.61 rating across the series. Spirit advanced to Malta alongside MOUZ, The MongolZ, FaZe, Astralis, paiN, Liquid and 3DMAX.
Winio analysis
The 13–0 finish makes the result appear more comfortable than Spirit’s overall performance deserved. Their limited attacking output allowed 100 Thieves to establish significant leads on both Anubis and Mirage. Against stronger opposition, donk may not always be able to erase those structural problems so completely.
For 100 Thieves, the decider should not invalidate the rest of their tournament. They eliminated Falcons and ended Spirit’s Mirage streak, demonstrating that their new lineup can already challenge elite opposition. The concern is their floor: once Spirit increased the pace and individual pressure, 100 Thieves had no effective way to reset the game.
Spirit remain the clear favourites heading into Malta, especially as the only top-10 team in the field. However, this series also showed why their path to the title may be less straightforward than the final map suggests.
