SunPayus Joins FUT Esports CS2 Roster, Replaces cmtry

FUT Esports have officially signed Álvaro «SunPayus» García as their new CS2 AWPer. The 27-year-old Spaniard replaces Nikita «cmtry» Samolotov, who has been moved to the bench.

SunPayus returns to competition after spending several months inactive. G2 benched him in June to make room for r1nkle before officially confirming his departure on September 29.

The transfer gives one of the youngest top teams an experienced sniper who can also contribute as a secondary caller. However, his match sharpness after a long break remains the main question ahead of his debut.

Replacing cmtry is a major decision for FUT. The Ukrainian helped the team win PGL Bucharest 2026 and claimed the tournament MVP award, but struggled to maintain the same level across the rest of the season.

FUT’s updated roster:

• dem0n
• Krabeni
• dziugss
• xfl0ud
• SunPayus
• coolio, coach

The new lineup is expected to debut at PGL Masters Bucharest, starting October 24.
