Valve Releases Patch 7.41 for Dota 2: Aspects Removed and Core Mechanics Reworked

Valve has released gameplay patch 7.41 for Dota 2. The main change in the update is the complete removal of Aspects from the game. Alongside the patch’s release, the developers also announced interface improvements and a series of bug fixes.

Innate abilities no longer depend on the level of other skills. All such abilities have been reworked either into fixed bonuses or into attributes that scale with the hero’s level. The game now features a UI indicator that shows which parameters improve as a hero levels up and their current values.

The patch also affects the item system: new components — Chasm Stone, Shawl, Splintmail, and Wizard Hat — have been added, and several recipes have been adjusted to incorporate them.

Additionally, Refresher Orb and Refresher Shard have been changed — they now refresh only abilities and no longer reset item cooldowns. Among other notable item updates, Specialist’s Array has returned as a regular purchasable item.
